Abstract
The Seljuks were one of the most important Turkic dynasties in the history of Iran, the fifth century of Hijri. In the territory of Iran, after the second century of Hijri, when several governments were trying to increase their power, the Seljuk Turks gradually gained power and were able to defeat the important governments of that time, such as the Ghaznavids, and seize power. Seljuqs first gained superiority with their special tribal ability and agility. Later, with the same ability, other military measures and techniques, they formed a government that was considered an important period in the history of Iran. The main research question is, what were the fighting methods of the Seljuqs in foreign battles and internal conflicts and what factors were effective in the formation of these methods? The brief answer to this question is that the Seljuk army, due to its nomadic and nomadic roots, emphasized light and heavy cavalry, and in addition to militarism, they used diplomatic tactics and tribal alliances to consolidate their power in internal conflicts. In this research, an attempt has been made to examine the Seljuk military measures and techniques by referring to the main sources as well as the views of researchers and with a historical approach and descriptive-analytical method.
