إن الانتشار الواسع لتکنولوجیا الاتصالات و المعلومات الرقمیّه التی أدت إلی ظهور مواقع تخصصیه وشخصیّه تهتم بالمجال الأدبی فی عالم الإنترنت وشبکات التواصل الاجتماعی فی الهواتف المحموله، أصبحت انطلاقه لنشرٍ واسع للأعمال الأدبیه فی الفضاء الإلکترونی و الافتراضی، و یمکن اطلاق تسمیه " نظریه الأدب الافتراضی" علی هذه الحاله للتعامل معها کنظریه جدیده فی عالم الأدب و الفن، یمکن أن تهدد الطریقه التقلیدیه لنشر الأدب المکتوب لتخلق طریقه جدیده فی هذا المجال. یسعی البحث الحالی بعد وصف و تعریف الواقع الموجود فی العالم الافتراضی إلی تقدیم الأدله اللازمه لعرض "نظریه الأدب الافتراضی" وفق أسس علمیه. إن تعریف الادب الإفتراضی و بیان العوامل و الخلفیات لظهور الأدب الافتراضی کـ: زیاده المواقع والقنوات الأدبیه، واختبار الأشخاص العادیین و غیر المحترفین لقدراتهم و مواهبهم، و تعدد المحتوی للأدب الافتراضی، یمکن اعتبارها من نتائج هذا البحث.
